Composite Technician
3rd Shift (11:30AM-7:00AM Sunday-Thursday)
$15.50 - $20.00/ HR DOE
A 14.3%/hr incentive is granted to our 3rd shift personnel.

Main Functions
Prepare composite sub-components for assembly. Assemble composites in a controlled environment.
Prepare composites for Autoclave processing. Load and unload composites from Autoclave. Inspect, package and label processed composites. Maintain records of work done and materials used.
Prepare/clean equipment for subsequent use. Assist in training those with less experience.
All functions to be performed singly or in teams.
Typical Duties
Identify materials/equipment. Cut roll-form materials into sheets for assembly. Inspect materials for usability in assembly. Assemble composites in specified sequences as defined by assembly drawings, in a clean-room environment. Maintain cleanliness of clean-room though use of specified dress and regular housekeeping. Maintain records of materials used and work completed. Transport & Prepare assemblies for processing in Autoclaves. Perform basic integrity checks and prepare sensors. Load/Unload assemblies to/from the Autoclaves. Monitor processing for cycle/mechanical errors. Inspect processed composites for contamination/non-conformance. Package & Label finished products. Prepare/clean any re-usable equipment for subsequent use. Assist in training as needed.
Skills Required
Read and write in English.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Can use basic hand-tools (scissors, wrench, screwdriver, knife)
Preferred Skills
Clean-room experience. Experience in Quality Inspection, Materials Handling, and/or Hand-Sheeting.
Basic mechanical knowledge.
Basic computer skills. Experience in other work-centers at Fralock.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to use both hands with fine dexterity. Must have vision (with or without assistance) capable of seeing small objects at a close distance. Must be able to stand for entire work-shift.
