A growing law firm has an opening for a Litigation Legal Paralegal who will focus on their clients ESI eDiscovery needs. You will be responsible for supporting the firms eDiscovery practice and will work with other team members to grow the firms eDiscovery capabilities. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Complete requests and work together with other eDiscovery support personnel to promote the effective use of electronic discovery support applications
Oversee the management of multiple litigation matters through the electronic discovery life cycle, providing daily and ongoing technical and operation guidance
Coordinate the receiving of client's processed and unprocessed ESI data and load files
Perform Quality Assurance on processed or produce data
Assist with the analyzing and reviewing the client's ESI data, complete the document production, and coordinate delivery of documents
Assist attorneys in depositions, witness preparation, and research
Provide user support and training on the eDiscovery review platform and process
Work with attorneys and clients on data identification, preservation, and collection issues
Draft complaints, correspondence, and pleadings
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor or Associate Degree with a focus on paralegal studies
Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program, in-courtroom trial experience, and proficiency with forensic tools is required
Must have at least 3 years of litigation paralegal experience with an emphasis on e-discovery, case management, and trial preparation
Must have knowledge of the processes underlying litigation cases, public records requests, and EDRM life cycle
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint and basic Windows operating system tasks
Must be familiar with legal holds, document retention orders, hard drive, cloud, server storage solutions, organization email, and data retention policies
Must have strong communication, organizational, prioritizing, problem solving, and analytical skills
Must have solid proofreading skills, accuracy, with the ability to pay a high attention to detail
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-changing environment
Must possess professional integrity, image, and friendly demeanor
Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
