Eligibility Examination for Position of Patrolman in the Conway Borough Police Department

 The purpose of the examination is to develop an eligibility list for the position of Patrolman.  Veterans will be given preference in accordance with law.  The Borough of Conway is an equal opportunity employer.

In addition to certain other requirements, Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, be at least 21 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or equivalent education and have satisfactorily graduated from a recognized police academy meeting the requirements of PA Act 120.  Applicants shall be physically, medically and psychologically fit for the performance of the duties of the Police Officer; of good moral character; and licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to appointment.

The physical agility, written examinations and oral interviews will be given on December 3, 2022, starting at 9 a.m. at Conway Borough Building located at 801 First Avenue, Conway, PA 15027.  Applicants are advised that thorough background investigations will be conducted for all top ranked candidates and that employment will be conditional upon the appointee satisfactorily completing both a psychological and physical examination.

Applications must be picked up at the Borough Secretary's Office located at 801 First Avenue, Conway, PA 15027.  Completed applications must be accompanied by a $50.00 certified check or money order made payable to the Borough of Conway, in order for the application to be accepted.  No application received after 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022, will be accepted.
