Job Description

 

The Military Family Kinship Navigator will serve military families living in Missouri, including Guard, Reserve, and those with a parent who has recently ended their tour of duty.  The navigator will provide outreach and engagement that connects these families with the resources of ParentLink and, in turn, their local communities.  The navigator will provide leadership to informing ParentLink service expansion to serve the unique challenges and needs of military families even more strongly. These issues include impacts of residual stress and trauma on family members, transition from military to civilian living, etc.

Shift

 

M-F 8-5 with occasional night or weekend

Minimum Qualifications

 

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 months of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child and Family Development, Counseling, Health Administration, or related area. Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn new software programs such as iCarol client and resource data management systems.

Anticipated Hiring Range

 

Salary Range: $19.00-$21.00/ per hour
Grade GGS-007
