Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Medical Assistant in the Outpatient Psychiatry program at Behavioral Health Network!

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Outpatient Psychiatry program with the following:

• providing services to individuals and coordination/support to psychiatrists and APRNs.
• Measuring and recording vital signs as needed.
• Providing assessments of individuals prior to their medical appointments, as needed.
• Identifying, evaluating, and responding to changes in individuals’ condition, including. laboratory reports, and reports findings
• Utilizing electronic prescription for all prescription needs.
• Taking medication orders from psychiatrist/APRN and phones in to pharmacy if needed.
• Completing paperwork related to service in a quality and timely manner.
• Providing education to individuals regarding their medication or other health issues.
• Maintaining supplies, equipment and sample medications.

What are we looking for in a Medical Assistant?

Qualifications/Requirements.

• Bilingual - Spanish and English (preferred)
• Must have at least one year experience working with a psychiatric population.
  
• Medical Assistant Certificate or Degree required.
  
• Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and other Microsoft product, Internet, word processing
  and email systems.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
  
• Able to be trained and develop proficiency in other software applications as the need
  arises.
  
• Excellent organizational skills.
  
• Good interpersonal skills.
  
• Must be familiar with electronic health records.
• Able to review/understand medication dosages and medication instructions.
  
• Able to take blood pressure.
