Stonemason for Landscape Construction company. Must have 2 years experience: Sets stone to build stone landscaping structures, such as piers, walls, and abutments, or lays walks and curbstones. Lays out wall patterns or foundations, using straight edge, rule, or staked lines. Set vertical and horizontal alignment of structures, using plumb bob, gauge line, and level. Operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment. Dig holes or trenches. Position construction forms or molds. Removes sections of monument from truck bed, and guides stone onto foundation, using skids, hoist, or truck crane. Shapes stone preparatory to setting, using chisel, hammer, and other shaping tools. Spreads mortar over stone and foundation with trowel and sets stone in place by hand or with aid of crane. Finishes joints between stone with pointing trowel and guides to ensure joints of uniform thickness. Clean surface of finished wall to remove mortar, using muriatic acid and brush. Minimum 2 years experience. $29 per hr. full time.
