Department of Public Works Superintendent/ Town Engineer The Town of Great Barrington, MA (population 7,000) is seeking an experienced DPW Superintendent/ Town Engineer to direct and oversee all operational and administrative activities of the Department of Public Works. The DPW operating budget is approximately $4.1 million and has 23 full time and 2 part time employees. Position requires experience in public works operations, supervision, contract management and administration, budget planning and estimating, cost control, scheduling and facilities management. Candidates should have 8 years of progressively responsible experience in municipal public works construction and maintenance, 5 of which are in a supervisory capacity; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Public or Business Administration, Construction Management or related field.
