Lakeside 60 is a 24 bed fast pace telemetry unit for medically complex patients. Lakeside 60 serves a wide variety of med-surge patients, this population helps develop strong assessment skills, critical thinking skills and exposure to a variety of nursing procedures.  These things aide in developing a good mix of skills and assessment practices for nurses.  Lakeside 60 works closely with the MICU staff when patient conditions deteriorate and a level of care change is needed. The unit has a team approach and supportive environment that encourages and celebrates professional.  growth and development, collaborative interdisciplinary communication and proportionate accountability. There is a Charge RN on each shift who serves as a resource for all staff. The typical RN to patient ratio is 4/5:1.

The LPN provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients, families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Involved in learning and self improvement.

Conducts skilled nursing observations, teaching and procedures in accordance with professional standards of practice under the direction of registered nurse.

Completes, submits required documentation.

Participates in interdisciplinary communication.

Current license in good standing to practice in Ohio.

Completes required continuing professional education requirements to maintain registration.

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse

CPR certification within 1 month of hire
