Pennsylvania State Senator Sharif Street is now hiring finance staff to join his historic campaign for Pennsylvania's open United States Senate seat in 2022.

If elected, Sharif Street would become the first African American U.S. Senator from the state of Pennsylvania and only the 10th African American to serve in the US Senate in the past 140 years. Read more about Sharif's story at www.StreetForPA.com.

As a State Senator, Sharif Street has become a respected leader on issues related to criminal justice and policing reform, gun violence, climate change, expanding patients' rights and access to healthcare, and the decriminalization of cannabis. He is the most experienced candidate currently running for the seat.

Before his election to the PA Senate, Senator Street co-founded Urban Solution, a non-profit corporation created to address the health needs of traditionally under-served communities. He then went on to serve as Chief Legislative Advisor to the Democratic Chair of the Housing and Urban Development Committee. During that time, he facilitated the creation of Philadelphia Green Communities, the first environmental educational program of its kind implemented in a major U.S. city.

Senator Street is a graduate of Morehouse College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and has long been active in community and public service.

Senator Sharif Street is now hiring fundraising staff for his committee. Prior campaign and fundraising experience not required. An excellent opportunity for recent college /law school graduates, and those interested in pursuing a career in Democratic politics or looking for a once in a lifetime experience.

Responsibilities include:

Working directly with Senator Street
Organizing and coordinating fundraising events
Compiling and analyzing data, research
Developing and implementing strategic fundraising plans

Be able to write clearly and concisely
Be able to balance and prioritize multiple projects
Have proven organizational skills
Be personable and enjoy working with others
Be comfortable communicating on the telephone
Ideally, have database experience
