- The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department.

Position Summary Information
Position Summary | The Austin Peay State University School of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program is seeking qualified part-time Instructors to teach various Master’s level FNP clinical courses. MSN clinical courses are managed via online learning management systems and electronic, web-based clinical software. Each course in the curriculum has been developed and approved by the MSN curriculum committee. Availability of teaching assignments vary based on each semester’s enrollment. |

Primary Duties and Responsibilities | - MSN clinical Instructors are required to engage with students and preceptors throughout the semester; - Supervise the students’ clinical preceptorship experiences to ensure clinical outcomes and competencies are achieved; - Manage student progress; - Grade course assignments in timely manner; and - Actively engage with students online or by other methods. |

Required Minimum Qualifications | - Master in the science of nursing (MSN); - Licensure as an APRN and RN in Tennessee or compact state; - Current Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANCC or AANP); - Current active practice as FNP with 3 years of experience; - A background search will be required of the successful applicant. |
