• Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and serious discipline problems to school administration as soon as possible. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a passion for educating elementary school students.

• Must work collaboratively to form creative solutions. 
• Must believe all kids can learn and achieve at high academic levels.

Job Summary

The Head Cross Country Coach/Program Director is responsible for shaping and guiding all aspects of the program, grades 6-12, and reports directly to the Director of Athletics. The head coach must be a dynamic, innovative, and inspirational leader with a demonstrated commitment and passion for working with young people while collaborating effectively with parents, faculty, administration, and colleagues. He/she will emphasize the importance of a positive team culture, demonstrate a winning attitude, model exceptional sportsmanship, and will be a skilled teacher of fundamentals, technique, and character. He/she will support the school’s mission in providing opportunities for each student to develop their full potential academically, socially, and physically.

**This is a part-time, stipend position. Full-time faculty/staff positions maybe available**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement the teaching of techniques, strategies, and proper conditioning, including the off-season
• Provide an atmosphere conducive to good sportsmanship; compile and maintain accurate performance statistics and records; utilize athletic administration curriculum
• Work well with other sports and school programming to allow for students pursuing appropriately balanced multi-sport/activity opportunities
• Ensure that adequate supervision is provided for all students involved in the program; provide for the safety by inspecting facilities/equipment and being aware of environmental conditions
• Issue, collect, inventory, store equipment and uniforms consistent with department guidelines in a timely manner. Adhere to TSSAA uniform regulations
• Develop and maintain positive, productive relationships with the entire Webb community
• Maintain and appropriately allocate a budget for the program
• Assist in the college recruitment process
• Coordinate, manage, develop, and evaluate all members of the coaching staff throughout the program
• Facilitate coaches, team, and parent meetings
• Comply with the rules, expectations and regulations of Webb and the TSSAA
• Timely and consistent communication of scheduling logistics throughout the school year and enforcement of all team and school policies relating to all activities according to the employee and athletic department handbook 
• Actively participate in admission events and contribute to Camp Webb programming
• Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:

• Embraces and embodies Webb School’s purposefully stated mission statement
• Has extensive knowledge and successful experience coaching at the club, high school and/or intercollegiate level, with preference given to those who have served as a head coach
• Takes the initiative and possesses the energy needed to energize, lead and grow an athletic program in a K-12, coed independent school environment 
• Familiarity with TSSAA policies and procedures preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate-level degree preferred

Webb School of Knoxville seeks a full-time Upper School teacher of English for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Duties include mowing, mulching, landscaping, and general grounds maintenance as well as special events set-up. Landscape, irrigation, and equipment maintenance experience are a plus. • Coordinate student billing, preparing tuition bills and sending monthly tuition statements
• Follow-up with families regarding past due balances or missed payments
• Accurately and efficiently enter data related to payroll and receivables into the accounting system
• Process enrollment contracts and deposits, tracking returned contracts in coordination with admissions

• Reconcile all payroll and accounts receivable, entering information into the accounting system and generating reports for the Controller to review

• Send new employees benefit information and perform necessary on-boarding processes for payroll and benefits
• Work with Controller to ensure proper contributions being made to retirement plan and Health Savings Accounts

• Creation & implementation of a comprehensive, year round plan for annual giving that includes strategy, messaging, goals, and a financial budget that achieves an immediate yearly goal as well as supporting future goals in alignment with our strategic plan.
• Responsible for recruiting, training, and motivating Annual Giving/Webb Fund volunteers regarding Webb Fund outreach, progress, status of asks, and stewardship opportunities.

• Responsible for securing major gifts for school capital projects, current endowments, and establishment of new endowments that will support and grow school programming.

Webb School of Knoxville's Lower School is seeking a full-time assistant teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The Lower School aims to provide a solid academic program within a positive and nurturing educational environment.

Candidates must relate well to children and adults and enjoy working in a supporting role, realizing their contributions are meaningful and essential to the school community. Additionally, applicants should desire and be able to work collaboratively as a team and independently.            

Education and Work Experience:

An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred, as is one to two years of related experience and training in working with children or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Functions:

A teaching assistant should be actively engaged in the classroom and school community while supporting the teacher in the classroom's ongoing tasks. They must help maintain a positive atmosphere in the school while providing timely, accurate, and thorough support to the lead teacher(s) and students.

• Maintain student attendance records and post assignments to the electronic school platform 

• Possess a vital skill set in technology

• Demonstrate applied knowledge of Google Suite

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing thoughtfully and clearly with students, parents, and colleagues and interact with all in a professional and personable manner

• Follow all safety rules and regulations

• Maintain a neat and orderly workplace 

• Participate in special events (e.g., WebbFest, Book Fair, Field Day, etc.

• Support personnel and programs
