East Stroudsburg University’s Department of Psychology is looking for an
Adjunct Instructor. Located in the
beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU’s proximity to New York City
and Philadelphia provides convenient access to professional markets, careers,
and social activities. Just minutes from campus are the country’s largest water
parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other
opportunities for recreational fun.
ESU's
Psychology Department consists of a lively
and dynamic group of faculty and students who are passionate about the study of
psychology. Students pursue a Bachelor of
Science (B.S.) in Psychology and select a concentration which focuses on a
specific area of emphasis, such as counseling or research, or they can have
more flexibility in selecting their courses, such as with the applied
concentration. Students graduate from the program ready to take on the
challenges of a career in the myriad of psychological-related fields or
prepared to enter into post-baccalaureate programs.
The department's
student-centered faculty is continually looking for ways to incorporate
high-impact learning practices into their teaching, such as student research
opportunities, service learning, internships, collaborative learning, and integrative
capstone courses.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Psychology required. Doctorate in Psychology or related field preferred.
- Demonstration of teaching excellence in related area of competence in psychology
- Sample student evaluations and peer observations if available
- Experience or ability to incorporate the use of technology in teaching in and online courses
- Experience working with diverse students and/or other populations
