Data Engineer job for an Insurance Company in cent OH.

Duties to be performed:

• Design, supervise, plan, and coordinate highly complex projects.
• Consider equipment capacity, limitations, and operating time while completing assignments.
• Do applications systems analysis and programming, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, installing, and quality assurance.
• Analyze data, do testing/quality assurance, review business and/or functional requirements and translate appropriately for project needs.
• Use Oracle, DB2, and SQL and report results.
• Monitor, plan, document, conduct, and evaluate assignment status with project teams and management.
• Evaluate progress and results to recommend changes in infrastructure and procedures.
• Do project completion and user satisfaction on highly complex projects.
• Work with Data Science and business teams to design databases.
• Implement ETL processes to standardize and automate data movement, transformation, and audit.
• Assess and incorporate external demographic, firmographic, geographic, weather, traffic, model, and other data sources for analytic benefit.
• Do "Big Data" such as telematic, internet-of-things (IOT), drone, wearables, sensor, and social media, in a distributed ecosystem like Hadoop.
• Bridge the batch data warehouse environment with new unstructured, high velocity data systems.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications for projects.
• Help define and follow data retention and management policies.
• Use network architecture, ETL architecture, and data modeling.
• Use data science.

Requirements are bachelor's in Information Technology or a Computer degree or equivalent plus 24 months experience in, with or doing systems analysis, analyze data, do testing/quality assurance, review business and/or functional requirements and translate appropriately for project needs, Oracle, DB2, and SQL, and report results

40 hours per week.
