Position Summary
Gannon University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, located at the Ruskin, Florida campus, seeks a core faculty member, with assigned rank based on experience and earned degree. This full-time, 12-month position will begin after July 1, 2024. Gannon seeks excellence through inclusiveness and invites members of underrepresented groups to apply.

Gannon University faculty work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver instruction, advise students, engage in scholarship, and participate in service. Faculty and students work together in contemporary classroom and lab spaces.

Gannon University is located in Ruskin, Florida along the Gulf Coast of Florida in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg/Bradenton region. The DPT program is housed within the School of Rehabilitative Sciences in the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences.
Required Qualifications
Requirements for a tenure track appointment include an earned advanced post-professional degree (e.g. PhD, EdD DHSc, etc.) in physical therapy or a related field.

Requirements for a teaching track appointment require the DPT degree.

Additional required qualifications for both tracks include teaching experience in an entry-level DPT program and greater than five (5) years of clinical experience as a physical therapist. Candidates must be eligible for FL PT licensure. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who have greater than three (3) years of teaching experience in a DPT program and who have experience in the following content areas:musculoskeletal examination, evaluation, and intervention, community health and engagement, limb loss, wound/burn care, lymphedema, bariatric management.

ABPTS Board Certified Specialist or other advanced certification, record of scholarship, professional and community service, and experience with accreditation processes preferred.
