Job Summary: Perform ocular research into the mechanisms of glaucoma using in vitro and in vivo glaucoma models; In conjunction with the Principal Investigator (PI) and other lab members, develop strategies and provide expert support to research projects investigating (1) the mechanics of disease in glaucoma and (2) retinal ganglion cell regeneration; Use molecular biology and biochemistry approaches (i.e. qPCR, immunoblotting, transfection studies, CHIP assay) to achieve project goals, developing modifications and validating technologies as needed; Review, summarize, and integrate data sets across multiple experimental paradigms; Support the preparation and submission for publications and grant applications, be capable of effective communications; Mentor junior members of the team by providing scientific input and leading by example. Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in biological sciences and at least 3 years experience in a lab or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced specialized or technical training in biochemistry and molecular techniques.

Varies depending on experiments
