The Chief Inspector Division of the West Virginia State Auditor's Office is seeking a candidate for the position of Assistant Director. This full time office position in the Charleston area shall report directly to the Deputy State Auditor.
Responsibilities include final review of governmental audits and related supporting documentation, assisting in maintaining the system of quality control, managing office staff, performing administrative functions, responding to inquiries from CPA firms and local government officials, and other duties as necessary.
A degree in accounting is required. CPA's are preferred but not required. Governmental accounting and auditing experience, knowledge of CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement audit management software, and accreditation, are key considerations for the position. Salary to commensurate with education, accreditation, and experience.
