Description

 

Primary Job Function/Duties

  • Primary responsibility is operating a Versalis machine, making sure that it is run in the most efficient manner.

  • Responsible for straightness, of cut, correct size, and correct labeling.

  • Responsible for spreading and cutting fabric in the most economic way.

  • After cutting, is responsible for labeling and separating the cut fabric and leather.

  • Responsibility is to cut fabric and leather for seat decks of upholstered furniture and slipcovers.

  • Must always keep area clean and neat, including placing scraps in recycling bins

     

    Qualifications Include:

  • Up to 5 years experience in operating a CAD fabric cutting machine for upper-end upholstered furniture

  • Experience reading and understanding production tickets

  • Ability to interpret simple cutting instructions commonly placed in a cutting manual

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements

  • Good communication skills – oral and written

  • Ability to keep accurate records

  • Ability to follow documented procedures and standards

  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to work independently with little supervision

  • Ability to frequently lift fabric rolls weighing 80 lbs or more

  • Ability to stand for 10 hour periods

  • Good vision with or without corrective lenses

  • Ability to see patterns on fabrics

  • Possess good color distinction
