Environmental Remediation Field Technician /Equipment Operator

JOB SUMMARY

Remington Technologies, an Environmental Remediation Services and Products Company based in Greeley, Colorado providing environmental soil and groundwater remediation field services to the environmental consulting community, is looking for motivated individuals to join our team.

We are expanding and therefore need to fill a wide range of positions from field technician, equipment operator and management personnel. We always promote from within the company when possible so advancement is common when the effort and commitment meet our standard.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Possess valid driver’s license and maintain clean driving record with no DUIs, excessive or major violations.

• Submit to and pass, without restrictions, a pre-placement physical exam with respirator fit test and drug and alcohol screen.

• Class A CDL with combination, tanker, and HAZMAT endorsements is a plus. 

 

PREFERRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

• Commercial Driver’s License (Class A with tanker, combination and hazmat endorsement)

• Three years of relevant experience in the environmental remediation industry

• OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification (provided if needed)

• Basic mechanical skills with troubleshooting abilities

• General labor and hand tool use skills

• Follow policies and procedures.

• Deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

• Identify and resolve problems.

• Strong communication skills and self-confidence.

• Organizational skills.

• Read and write in English.

 

TRAVEL AND WORK HOURS

• The position requires travel throughout Colorado and the US.

• Company paid lodging and per diem

• Daily work hours range from 8 to 12 hours per day.

• Average work week is between 40-60 hours. Monday to Friday, but weekends are possible.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee must:

• Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.

• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
