We are seeking Project Control Supervisor to become part of a growing world class organization. We are looking for enthusiastic, forward thinking, agile, detail oriented, and Collaborative Supervisor to add to our great team. This position will supervise a diverse group of high functioning professionals in the Project Control and Contract Management Unit of the Wastewater Treatment Division. The successful candidate for this position will work as part of a collaborative team with three other Project Control Supervisors in the development of staff that support the delivery of capital project for the Division in the areas of project controls, contract management, and workforce development. Staff reporting to this position are responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of plans, schedules, budgets, contracts, and administration of all phases of capital projects including construction. Staff will work primarily on the project control elements of planning, development, administration and cost accounting of construction, consultant and other miscellaneous service contracts. The successful candidate in this position will develop and enforce existing policies and procedures to manage compliance, monitor and control and report the status of projects and contacts, monitor and review progress, analyze cost and schedule issues, and recommend action to resolve issues. This position will also be critical to recommending and establishing new principles, procedures, and standards. This position includes full supervisory and associated staff administration duties including conducting performance appraisals, recruitment and hiring, discipline, staff performance improvement plans, and termination of assigned staff. Telecommuting Requirement The work associated with this position will be performed predominantly by telecommuting, with occasional onsite work and meetings, as influenced by business needs. Employee will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required by the department in alignment with the Public Health Directive from the Seattle & King County Public Health Officer. Work Schedule: This position is exempt from the overtime provision of the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) and is not overtime eligible. Bachelor’s degree in project or construction management, finance, engineering or related field and previous experience in cost management/ project controls and/or project or construction management is required OR any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the classification
