RESPONSIBILITIES
NSA is seeking an experienced Technical Leader to serve as the technical expert for the operation and modernization of NSA enterprise business systems. The Technical Leader will drive Business Information Technology (IT) Architecture and technology innovation, striving to apply the best of commercial and governmental IT solutions to NSA's business IT needs. Ultimately, the technical leader will oversee the delivery of key business systems and automation while promoting and coordinating technical knowledge broadly across NSA and partner IC agency organizations. The Technical Leader will foster an understanding of essential technical information and in concert with stakeholder organizations, industry and government technology experts and key solution providers will build a common vision for the Business IT Architecture across technical and functional organizations. In addition, the Technical Leader will be responsible for all aspects of technology standardization and modernization, establishing strategic technical direction for enterprise products consistent with NSA technology tenets. The incumbent in this role will advance the NSA mission through improved business capabilities both as a tactical and strategic resource. NSA's Business IT enables a significant percentage of NSA's corporate software services with application solutions origination from COTS, GOTS, and FOSS regimes. NSA is well respected as a leader in state of the art Business IT delivery with key applications supporting financial, human capital management, facilities, logistics, education and training business processes. Business IT solution space includes software that leverages case management, general accounting, robotics processing, workflow, asset tracking, to just name a few. NSA Business IT is on the forefront of AWS and other cloud based application delivery to both the unclassified and classified domains. Within the IC, NSA's Business IT organization pioneered the use of contemporary MEAN stack and server less architectures for business application development; a leader in the application of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and other DevOps practices in the delivery of high quality, highly available cloud based software services. The Technical Leader will be the chief evangelist in continuing the application of the latest technologies and the advancement of DevOps practices in the delivery of NSA business applications. In addition, NSA provides key IT business services to other partner IC agencies. Over the next 24 months there are major transformations of capabilities supporting enterprise wide business and administrative processes. This transformation will continue to focus on development and deployment of commercial and government developed capabilities on the Commercial Cloud both in the classified and unclassified domains. This is a highly visible position and a prime opportunity to be at the forefront of modernizing business information technology solutions for NSA, DoD, and the IC.
SKILLS
Required: - Broad understanding of enterprise architecture. - Demonstrated experience as a strong and credible technical leader. - Significant experience in enterprise software development and operational system support. - Experience in integrating commercial and open source applications. - Significant experience (20 yrs +) in planning and leading large scale in migrations to commercial applications and architectures. - The selectee must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders, staff personnel, and external elements at all levels, while maintaining strong organizational skills and multitasking in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment. - The successful candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills; be creative, organized and results driven. - The selectee must have demonstrated ability to communicate and emulate the organizational vision. - The selectee must have a demonstrated ability to develop and foster Enterprise partnerships with NSA internal, external DoD, and Intelligence Community entities. - The selectee must have demonstrated sound judgment in all actions and be able to both guide and seek advice from an experienced workforce. - The ability to condense and synthesize information quickly, as well as to work many actions in parallel. An understanding of Capabilities objectives and a familiarity with the strategic goals and objectives of NSA. - Experience in motivating a workforce and building high performing, innovative teams. - Ability to make fair and sound decisions and to portray a positive, proactive, and professional attitude across all levels.
PAY BENEFITS & WORK SCHEDULE
On-the job training, Internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Monday - Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirements between 0600 to 1800 (flexible)

You will advise, administer and perform scientific projects, such as planning, designing, and constructing specialized equipment, and ensuring adherence to sound engineering and scientific standards and principles. The NSA offers multiple areas of focus for facilities engineers, including computer, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural.
