Job Summary |
Utah Policy Innovation Lab: The Utah Policy Innovation Lab is a public-private partnership that brings together academics, policy experts and business leaders to collaborate and share best practices that benefit Utahns. The Lab serves as a convener of people. Through its trusted relationships with the Utah institutions of higher education across the state, the Lab breaks down silos and facilitates information sharing with the Utah best and brightest. The Utah Policy Innovation Lab facilitates the exchange of ideas and insights, promotes innovation, and leverages the collective expertise and resources of each stakeholder group to address complex policy challenges facing Utah. It drives evidence-based policy solutions informed by diverse perspectives and grounded in rigorous research and analysis. The Lab has partnered with the Kem C. Gardner Institute, ensuring a data driven approach to its work that will help to inform statewide policy and decision making. As well as collaborate with the Utah Legislature Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel who provides policy research and analysis to individual legislators and legislative committees, commissions, and task forces. Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Utah Policy Innovation Lab Research Interns to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in vital research, contribute to policy discussions, and support event planning. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated individual with a passion for policy analysis, political science, and effective communication. This is a hybrid position that will meet remotely and occasionally at the Thomas S. Monson Center, in Salt Lake City. Duration and Compensation: This is a part-time, temporary internship. This temporary, non-benefited position may work up to 19 hours per week. Internship date range: May 13, 2024 up to August 30, 2024 |
