German-based ID Plastics is entering the Auburn, Alabama market with a newly formed joint venture establishing a collapsible box technology to assist manufacturing processes of all types. The newly formed company is seeking energetic, motivated, and conscientious individuals to develop the southeast market for this innovative product!

Having made the jump from the Black Forest of Haiterbach, Germany to North America, the plastics technology group will have a new sister company in the US focusing on North American markets with production, warehousing and local sales presence allowing for regional response to customer solutions.

A unique opportunity to assist in developing this new company exists in the initial hiring of the following positions:

Process Technician (2 positions)

Qualifications and Tasks:

• A high degree of commitment and willingness to perform as well as physical resilience
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Travel to the parent company in Germany for training
• Precise work and skill in handling machines (basic electrical and mechanical knowledge a plus)
• Processing from plastic sheets to sleeve-packs on various machines
• Quality assurance measures: testing according to test protocols and quantity control
• Support in setting up, rebuilding and converting machines
• Support of maintenance during repair work or other colleagues
• Close cooperation with adjacent specialist departments for the purpose of quality assurance and elimination of system problems
• Monitoring and compliance with occupational health, cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention regulations
• Carrying out packaging work, as well as internal transport
• Forklift Experience

Compensation – Starting Range is $13.00 to $15.00 per hour based on Years of Experience and Skill Level.
