Director of Revenue Cycle and Billing Operation

We are seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle and Billing Operation who will be responsible for the overall management of billing and collection processes for a $25M facility – including planning, directing, supervising, coordinating and evaluating the day to day billing processes. The Director will work on standardizing and centralizing billing functions to increase efficiency and ensure that revenue is maximized for all services and payors, including self-pay, Medicare, Medicaid, and other third parties. The Director will manage work quality and training of three staff members, and monitor quality controls to ensure the department is meeting departmental and company expectations. Manage outstanding receivables and optimize collection outreach processes to achieve targeted goals.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major with a minimum of five years’ experience managing a revenue billing function in long term care, hospital or physician group practice. Extensive knowledge of billing for public programs such as Medicaid and Medicare. Knowledge of EMR software, Excel, Word and clearinghouse applications. Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding protocols, Medicaid, Medicare and third party billing and coding.

Must have the ability to effectively communicate with physicians, residents, family members, colleagues and staff. Ability to organize, set priorities, work independently and work well with a diverse group of people and to work effectively as a team member with a strong collaborative management style. Candidate must hold excellent leadership skills, be a self-driven, highly motivated leader who leads by example and builds a high performance culture while fostering an open, positive communication environment.
