DUTIES:

 

  1. Work with the Business Information Systems (BIS) team to enhance the District’s data
    capacity by improving data administration, promoting data governance, ensuring data
    quality, and increasing the availability of self-service data and analytics.
  2. Meet with stakeholders to understand data needs and define reporting requirements.
  3. Provide coaching and support to stakeholders in acquiring, analyzing, and understanding
    data.
  4. Develop data reports and reporting systems that meet the identified needs of
    stakeholders in alignment with District priorities.
  5. Promote a self-service data culture.
  6. Support data auditing and compliance efforts.
  7. Plan and execute data administration activities that support the District’s enterprise
    platforms.
  8. Administer and monitor data integration between enterprise platforms.
  9. Develop and maintain documentation and support knowledge transfer across the BIS
    team.
  10. Identify solutions to end-user requests for support and resolve technical problems.
  11. Handle additional duties and special projects in support of the Business Information
    Systems team.
  12. Report to the Business Information Systems Manager.
  13. Perform related work as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. BA in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred.
  2. Experience conducting data analysis in a business/financial environment preferred.
  3. Proficiency with Excel or comparable data analytic software.
  4. Familiarity with PowerBI, Tableau, or comparable reporting platform.
  5. Familiarity with database management systems.
  6. Familiarity with application security and authentication.
  7. Familiarity with SQL preferred.
  8. Strong ability to analyze problems and take initiative in generating reliable solutions.
  9. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  10. Demonstrated success working independently and collaboratively.
  11. Adept at effectively managing multiple priorities in a high-demand environment.
  12. Ability to facilitate meetings using communication and presentation software.
  13. Proficiency with office productivity applications.
