City officials and Senator Dave Min hosted a groundbreaking for the Jeffrey Open Space Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge Project. The $14.5 million in funding supports a critical piece of the trail that has yet to be finished: a 1.5-mile extension running from Barranca to Interstate 5.

The City of Irvine City Council and the Great Park Board approved the setup and operation of the temporary Great Park amphitheater, Great Park Live. The facility will serve as the summer home for the Pacific Symphony and will host other live entertainment acts for the summer concert season.
