Telephone Triage Registered Nurse

Come join an exciting and fast paced organization.  SSGA is one of the leading Gastroenterology practices in the area.  We strive for excellent service in a compassionate manner.  Since 1971, our practice has expanded to sixteen physicians and eight mid-level practitioners including a state of the art Endoscopy Center. 

We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse in our Triage department to meet our current. 

You must be energetic and professional with experience in a Medical Office.   If you are passionate about your work and have complete dedication and determination to meet and exceed the needs of our patients, this is the place for you!! 

This position is located at our main facility in Burnt Hills, NY.   This is a full time Monday-Friday position.  Some of your primary duties include but are not limited to:

• Answer all incoming clinical calls pertaining to clinical questions, prescriptions, and questions pertaining to our Patient Portal.
• Listen, interpret assess and/or advise the patient with type of care needed
• Works closely with providers, provider secretaries/schedulers and other supporting departments
• Review test results for any in need of immediate attention and obtain physician signature
• Obtain pre-certification for all prescriptions needing prior authorization

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience as a Registered Nurse required
• 2 Years of Triage experience preferred
• Medical Office Experience is required
• Knowledge of EMR software required
• Strong Computer skills

• Ability to work as a team as well as individually
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
