Specialty Topic Editor– Psychiatry

 

DynaMed™ is a leading online evidence-based point-of-care medical reference. It is a rapidly growing, comprehensive clinical decision resource that provides the most current and useful synthesized evidence with the quickest time-to-answer.

 

This role requires a breadth and depth of knowledge in the field of psychiatry demonstrated by clinical experience, teaching, research, and a publication track record. Strong clinical and analytical skills are essential in this role. Candidates must have current board certification in good standing, and at least 5 years of postgraduate clinical experience is preferred. Familiarity with and interest in evidence-based medicine is also preferred.

 

This is a part-time contract position. Editorial work requires less than a 10% time commitment and can be completed remotely.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • MD, DO or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of direct patient care experience managing patients with psychiatric conditions
  • Ongoing participation in clinical activity
  • At least 2 years of experience with MS Office Suite including Word (with use of track changes) and Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications       

  • Specialty board certification in Psychiatry
  • Breadth and depth of knowledge in the field as demonstrated by clinical leadership roles, teaching, research, or a publication track record
  • Critical appraisal and statistical skills sufficient to analyze clinical relevance of all study types
  • Knowledge of PubMed searching strategies
