The State Manager will be responsible for monitoring work orders by reviewing generated report forms and communicating with supervisors, and will directly oversee and supervise the Field Supervisor, Superintendent and Supervisors in Louisiana. This person will also help direct and set up contractors and manage customer service issues. 

Qualified applicants must possess Level 3 certifications in Water Production, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collections and Wastewater Treatment. Ten years of experience or more preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – Must be able to: 

  • Assist in the hiring process as well as any coaching methods and disciplinary actions with staff and direct those to the Regional Manager 
  • Work with compliance supervisors to ensure state facilities are staying in compliance and help with troubleshooting and training 
  • Ensure all staff members are working safely 
  • Travel: This person will be required to make site inspections to make sure plants are performing and systems are ready for client inspections at all time   
  • This position will report to the Regional Manager 

Water and wastewater operations is manual work involving the maintenance and repair of water facilities and equipment. The field supervisor will oversee all field projects and repairs and be directly responsible of operations in the assigned area. They will assist in daily plant work, but will be primarily in charge of system repairs and maintenance. 

Preferred Qualifications include water and wastewater certification (Distribution and Collection) for the state position serves.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of safety standards and precautions related to water and/or wastewater operations
  • Ability to use and maintain tools, equipment and computers associated with water and/or wastewater operations
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, clients, vendors and the general public
  • Ability to manage and supervise staff
  • A valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to be on-call evenings and weekends and to work long hours


A person working in this job will need, on a daily basis, to:

  • Perform heavy labor including walking long distances, standing, bending, stooping, reaching and digging
  • Have the ability to work in confined spaces and wear appropriate safety equipment
  • Grasp, lift, maneuver, rotate and otherwise use small to large hand tools
  • Grasp, lift, carry and set down objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Grasp, turn, twist, pull, push, lift and otherwise move equipment, controls and parts weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Visually assess construction, maintenance and repair needs
  • Climb and work from ladders and stairs
  • Perform outside work in extreme weather conditions

Job Summary

Under the guidance and direction of the CFO, the AP/AR Supervisor is responsible for all accounting matters with an emphasis on billing management, accounting reconciliations, and managing the accounting system. They will handle month-end closings, AP/AR; provide guidance through the review of accounting and finance data; meet company reporting requirements; and manage third party vendors while ensuring that daily/monthly/annual processes are completed timely, effectively, and according to SOP’s.

Responsibilities

Accounting Management

  • AP/AP:
    • Receiving customer checks in Quick Books Enterprise and saving digital images in AR folder in Drop Box.
    • Processing miscellaneous checks including refunds and determining bill payments to be applied to the AP Aging Detail.
    • Data Entry of vendor and company bills, as well as releasing funds for payments including processing wire transfers and employee reimbursements.
  • Invoicing:
    • Tracking PO billed costs and actual costs.
    • Creating lump sum invoices.
    • Transferring capital invoices to spreadsheets.
    •  Sending monthly statement and addressing questions with team.
    • Creating monthly invoices including examination of unbilled time reports.
    • Proof Reading and correction of invoices.
    • Record all asset purchases in Quick Book Enterprise over $2500.
    • Reconcile bank accounts and save statements.
  • Office Management:
    • Coordinate & maintain company business registrations (city, state, federal filings, licenses, etc.).
    • Setting up employer ID in new states for unemployment as well as use tax in applicable states.
    • Records and maintain vehicle purchases and property taxes as well as management of
    • vehicle registration renewals.
  • End of Year:
    • Assisting in the filing and assigning 1099’s.
    • Worker Compensation Audits.


Job Qualifications

  • Strong accounting expertise (billing, payments, documentation, etc.)
  • Proficiency with accounting and Quick Book knowledge.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must exercise the highest level of confidentiality and integrity 
  • Development of standards and managing process implementation and adherence.
  • Ability to review and analyze data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role

Job Summary

Midwest Water Operations (MWO) is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator. This person will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and supervision of water distribution and water treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Operates and maintains water distribution system including servicing of pumps, motors, valves, generators, and equipment
  • Maintains pump stations
  • Perform sample collection, preparation, and laboratory testing
  • Maintain records, perform data entry, and provide detailed reporting
  • Ensures completion of work assignments within specified deadlines and in compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and procedures
  • Analyzes and evaluates pump equipment, trouble-shooting malfunctions, and monitoring of water operations
  • Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs of equipment and infrastructure
  • Performs facility grounds maintenance including cleaning equipment and tanks
  • Perform general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, clean-ups, pruning, and other typical landscape maintenance tasks
  • Performs other related duties as directed


Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Class 1 Water Treatment Operator Certification required
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records required
  • Experience within a water treatment environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, compile, and analyze data and reports daily
  • Ability to monitor control panels, gauges, and meters to ensure proper plant operation
  • Must be available to work weekends, overtime and ‘on-call’ as needed
