City of Green Service is looking for Service Worker I and II.

Do you want to contribute to the growth of a progressive, prosperous and promising city? The Civil Service Commission will conduct an examination for both full-time and part-time positions Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.

Application deadline is 4:00 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2018. 

Service Worker I: $16.97 per hour.

Job Responsibilities: Under general supervision, perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in order to assist with efficient delivery of City services.

• Qualifications: 
  • Completion of secondary education (high school or General Education Diploma).
  • Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license, plus qualify for and remain insurable under the City’s vehicle insurance policy.

Service Worker II: $20.01 per hour

Job responsibilities: Under general supervision, perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in order to assist with the efficient delivery of City services.

• Qualifications: 
  • Completion of secondary education (high school or General Education Diploma).
  • One (1) year lands and building maintenance and repair experience.
  • One (1) year experience in operation of light motorized equipment.
  • Must possess a valid State of Ohio Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), plus qualify and remain insurable under the City’s vehicle insurance policy.
  • Any combination of training and work experience indicating possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed may be considered.

Information submitted will be reviewed by the Commission to determine eligibility. Interested applicants meeting the qualifications for Service Worker II will take an extended test. Those failing to meet minimum qualifications or do not submit required documents and filing fee when applying will be disqualified and notified in writing. Qualified candidates will be notified of examination location after the application review.

$10 non-refundable filing fee (payable to the City of Green) must accompany the signed application in addition to copies of driver’s license and High School diploma/General Education diploma.
