Mid-Level Chemistry Patent Agent (San Diego, CA) sought by law firm. Prepare and prosecute chemistry patent applications before USPTO and coordinate patent prosecution, evaluate and manage portfolio and advise on patent strategies.

Requires: doctorate (Ph.D) or foreign degree equivalent in chemistry or closely related field; full or limited recognition to practice in patent matters before USPTO or eligibility for same; 4 years of experience as Scientific Analyst/Patent Agent/similar role. 4 years of experience preparing/prosecuting patent applications, patent strategy counseling & portfolio management. IP due diligence (include freedom to operate & patentability analyses and due diligence for corp transactions, technical transfers and investment).
