Summary

The King County Employee Giving Program (KCEGP) within the Department of Human Resources (DHR) seeks a highly motivated, organized, and dependable professional to serve as an Administrator II in either a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) or Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) position. The role will support the KCEGP through the upcoming 2021 Annual Giving Drive. The ideal candidate will thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, and will not hesitate to roll up both sleeves, collaborate, work hard, have fun, and get the job done.  The position is expected to end on December 31, 2021.
 
The KCEGP raises more than $2 million annually to benefit nonprofits supporting the community. There are five lines of business which serve employees and community year-round. Job Duties

  • Confidently and nimbly communicate to varied audiences including nonprofits and employees at all levels of the organization through varied methods such as email, Zoom, trainings, and meetings. Create copy, write scripts, and develop presentations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, nonprofits, and the public via phone, email, virtual, and in-person gatherings. Demonstrate integrity and tact while handling difficult and sensitive situations. 
  • Provide excellent program support and delivery for key programming such as Ambassador Program recruitment and development and the Annual Giving Drive, which occurs from October 4 to November 19, 2021.  
  • Lead the team of STT’s to ensure a successful Annual Giving Drive.
  • Embrace the lean culture and spirit of continuous improvement by updating, improving, and documenting the program’s processes and decisions in greater alignment with the digital world and with a focus on accessibility for all.  
  • Work on a variety of other projects and assignments for the Employee Giving Program. 
  • Contribute to and thrive in a culturally diverse work environment.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO 
 

  • Have a strong background in communications and marketing including planning, drafting, editing, and producing persuasive and compelling copy and materials.
  • Have experience with digital communications such as email lists (GovDelivery), blogs, and social media. 
  • Are comfortable with change and asking for direction.  
  • Are creative problem-solvers with minimal resources.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Provide excellent customer service and build effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Efficiently manage their time, work with minimal supervision, and maintain confidentiality
 
WE WOULD LOVE IT IF YOU
 
Have experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.  
  • Are knowledgeable with Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, and Electronic Records Management (ERMS), or similar programs.  
  • Have previous experience with the Employee Giving Program or other similar workplace giving programs

Temporary Telecommuting Requirement
The work associated with this position will be performed remotely, at least through July 5, 2021, in compliance with King County’s telecommuting mandate. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.  Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.  There will be situations where the employee is required to report to a County worksite.  Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required by the department in alignment with the Public Health Directive from the Seattle & King County Public Health Officer.
