This is a Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) or Special Duty opportunity, part-time, 20 hours per week position in the Behavioral Health and Recovery Division (BHRD), anticipated to end November 2022, but subject to change dependent on operational needs.

WORK SCHEDULE/CONDITIONS: This is a part-time position scheduled to work 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, hours may vary, but will be between the hours of 8 am-5 pm. This position meets the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible with supervisory pre-approval.

Teleworking Requirement 
The work associated with this position will be performed through a combination of teleworking complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are requiredincluding the wearing of masks in some situations. Job Duties

  • Assist the Integrated Managed Care (IMC) Project team, including the Project Managers, with project coordination and project management including: developing and setting agendas; tracking action items to completion; responding to inquiries; drafting project communications, managing risk & issue logs, developing project timelines and scheduling meetings as-needed. 
  • Serve as primary coordinator for Integrated Care Network Governance Committees, ensuring that meetings are set appropriately and that all necessary documentation is tracked and distributed. 

Overall Duties 

  • Under supervision of the Deputy Director, ensure the King County Integrated Care Network Committees (KCICN) have a workplan and an appropriate cadence of meetings. 
  • Communicate with internal staff and external behavioral health provider staff regarding ICN projects, timelines, action items, decisions and upcoming meetings or events. 
  • Coordinate with Communications manager and KCICN project managers to ensure communication across the KCICN network, including the development of content for the KCICN newsletter and other lines of communication.
  • Participate in ICN Governance Committee meetings and ensure consistent tracking and recording of meeting content for distribution following the meeting. 
  • Manage rosters of participants for meetings and Committees. 
  • Track and coordinate initiatives and projects from beginning to completion, including action items and ensure appropriate and timely follow-up. 
  • Create documents in preparation for meetings, including meeting agendas, PowerPoint documents, project timelines and project charters. 
  • Assist with drafting correspondences such as letters, announcements, or reports. 
  • Assist KCICN project managers with tracking decisions, risks and project issues as identified. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

  • A minimum of two years of professional experience as project coordinator. 
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating projects on short timelines, developing objectives, scheduling meetings and coordinating meeting materials such as agendas and meeting minutes.  
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Strategic problem-solving skills – ability to anticipate future challenges/opportunities. 
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to meet work deadlines, stay on task with frequent interruptions, and balance priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance.
  • Must possess (or able to obtain) a valid Washington State driver's license or have the ability to attend meetings at various locations throughout the county in a timely fashion.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of health policy.
  • Knowledge of the state and county's health transformation policies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other project management software.
  • Lived experience.
