Assist patients and health care needs as directed by clinician during Emergency Department visit including performing 12 lead EKGs, blood draws, initiate Hep-locks, bedside point of care testing, aerosol treatments.Ensures the daily completion of point of care testing quality controls, defibrillator checks, refrigerator checks, transports.Performs ABGs and gain IV access as directed by order.Prepares patients and care environment for exam, specimen collection and anticipates needs of patients and providers proactively.Performs delegated basic procedures as described by their annual competency based tool and orientation program.Requires: Active State of Ohio Paramedic certification.Responsible and accountable for safe clinical practice, focused on expanding knowledge and skills.Consistently provides effective relationship-based care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients.Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a beginning leadership role and seeks mentoring in the process.
