Summer Laundry & Cleaning Full Time Maintenance Full Time Maintenance with Electrical emphasis COEC is located in Florissant, CO. Year-round and summer positions available. Starting at $12.50/hour & up dependent on experience, education, and certifications.

Job Title: Summer Cook

Reports to: Head Cook/Kitchen Manager

Position Purpose/Major Function of the Position: Our cooks are crucial to helping create the overall experience for our campers and staff. Sanborn is a fun, fast paced, energetic place to work. The camp cooks are responsible for food prep, providing meals that meet a wide variety of dietary needs, cleaning and sanitation practices, assisting with inventory, kitchen organization, and working with camp counseling staff.

Essential Job Functions: Prep, cook, and serve healthy, delicious and attractive meals for campers and staff Ensure that allergy and dietary restrictions are met for each meal. This often requires several dishes for each meal to accommodate needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen. Comply with proper sanitation and safety procedures. While not the primary function of the cooks, participate in dishwashing when needed Put away food order Notify head cook when ingredients and supplies need to be ordered.

Other Job Duties:

Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers and the extended camp community

Assist with preparation and/or packing of snacks and cookouts when scheduled.

Qualifications:

(Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience) Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance Excellent working knowledge of kitchen appliances, their operations and cooking methods Previous cooking experience helpful, willingness to learn essential. We will train. Knowledge of ServSafe requirements and certification if possible Knowledge of and adherence to Teller County Public Health food service guidelines.

Summer Laundry & Cleaning Staff

Job Description Position Purpose/Major Functions of the Position: Our laundry and cleaning staff are crucial to helping create the overall experience for our campers and staff and as such are highly valued. Sanborn is a fun, fast-paced, energetic place to work who value efficiency, teamwork and excellence in all we do.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Deliver laundry to and from the camps to the onsite laundry facility.

2. Wash, dry, and fold camper, staff, health center and kitchen laundry.

3. Keep laundry sorted by cabins/units.

4. Clean machines and laundry building as needed.

5. Clean cabins prior to opening of camp for the summer and at the end of the summer camp season.

6. Perform a variety of routine cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing windows and polishing for certain buildings throughout the property.

7. Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs.

8. Report any necessary repairs.

9. Other duties as assigned.

Seasonal Summer Maintenance Staff Reports to: Director of Maintenance Position

Purpose/Major Function of the Position: The maintenance staff are essential to the operation of our nonprofit organization. Maintenance team members uphold the mission of the organization through maintaining and improving COEC's facilities and land, providing a safe, efficient infrastructure for our residential communities. Team members are recruited and rewarded for initiative, flexibility, hard-work and excellent skills.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled facilities maintenance, preventive maintenance, component replacement and repair tasks, including carpentry, mechanical, and basic non-licensed electrical and plumbing work; maintains specialized kitchen equipment (dishwasher/stoves...)
  2. Install appliances and other equipment
  3. Assist in maintaining roads
  4. Collaborate with other professionals during renovations and facility expansions
  5. Perform specialized seasonal work (pool maintenance, snow removal, etc.)
  6. Assist with fire mitigation: cut, load and haul trees, slash and debris
  7. Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; identify and report mechanical problems requiring additional repair
  8. Inspect and maintain assigned equipment and small tools for proper operating condition; complete minor repairs on equipment as needed;
  9. Support a collaborative, positive, work environment.
  10. Operate machinery as required, including road graders, backhoe, dump truck and Bobcat.

Other Job Duties: Help run client/camp programming when applicable, i.e. sawmill demonstrations, woodshop Lead applicable staff training for summer programming (bike maintenance, vehicle trainings, work project coordination) Assist with Emergency situations maintenance or otherwise Work flexible hours when needed.

Qualifications: (Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience) Experience working with power tools and knowledge of their safe operation Excellent work habits including: punctuality, efficient use of time, prioritizing tasks; Must pass background checks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work independently and/or with others to maintain and repair facilities Hold a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Carpentry Skills (framing, sheet rock, painting, decking, windows, roofing, siding) Comfortable working a wide range of equipment and tools Experience working with power tools and knowledge of their safe operation Ability to work with cleaning equipment chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray and aerosol forms. Can work in conditions that will create dirt and dust.

Physical Requirements of the Position:

Move up to 50lbs of project material repeatedly and or tools to potentially remote building locations Erect and stand on scaffolding, ladders and platforms Perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve, but is not limited to the following activities: reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, shoveling, working in narrow and or confining spaces (underground, overhead, or at ground level), twisting of the waist shoulders and legs, lying on stomach and/or back.
