SUMMARY: Overall responsibility for operation of the winding machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves in a multi-faceted role of operating, packing and maintaining components of the winding machine(s). Winding machine must be operated at high levels of quality and efficiency. Must keep sleeves at optimal operation capacity by solving day to day mechanical/operating issues with minimal scrap. Must be able to make adjustments on machine to ensure product quality. Must assure product quality requirements are met to assure not only functional attributes, but also smooth, trouble-free dispensing on the sleeve dispenser at the conveyor. Records appropriate production reports. Adherence to the company attendance policy is required, which includes expectations of punctuality and limited unapproved absences

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent and/or prior operator experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and follow directions. Must be able to speak, listen and openly communicate with team members and actively participate in team meetings.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment requires hearing protection as required by OSHA noise level standards. Safety glasses are required for this position due to potential safety hazards. Nitrile gloves required when packing products.
