Position Summary | Reporting to the Head Football Coach, the Assistant Athletic Director for Football Operations is responsible for the administrative operations for the football program. This position requires some travel as well as evening and weekend hours. |
Essential Functions | Coordinates the overall organization and planning of the program with the head coach. Oversees the daily operations of the football office and acts as a liaison with the athletics department, residential life, dining services, academic advising, and other university departments as necessary. Manages all administrative recruiting functions including maintaining the recruiting database and coordinating on-campus visits for prospective student-athletes. Manages athletic football scholarships. Acts as liaison with the athletic compliance office to track, monitor, and document NCAA and Patriot League compliance efforts. Plans and executes team travel arrangements (hotel, room assignments, transportation, meals, etc.) and is responsible for student-athlete welfare during team travel. Schedules the use of appropriate facilities and meeting rooms for practice and competition. Oversees practice and game film taping. Organizes summer camp and clinics Acts as liaison with the marketing and promotions office to promote the program. |

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience | A Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience working in athletic administration or coaching, preferably in a collegiate environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills | Demonstrated highly structured organizational skills in a position with a broad scope of responsibilities Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel Must possess a valid driver’s license and certificates to operate an aerial and scissor lift Must be willing to achieve CPR and AED certificates upon hire |
