Job Summary:

Duties include but are not limited to: PAS Registration Floater that must conduct courteous and professional patient interview across PAS registration sites: Community Campus, UH Central Registration, Emergency Departments, Outpatient Registration, Pre-Registration, 550 Harrison Center and UHCC. Completes insurance eligibility verification and obtains authorizations for emergency admissions, elective procedures and elective admissions. Conduct quality analysis of registrations, works claim edit and account level work queues and acts as a liaison between the end users and training team. Meets accuracy rate within established guidelines. Provide flexibility in schedule to accommodate staffing needs of the department. Will participate in cross-training in other admitting areas. Will need to be able to prioritize work and handle stressful situations. Will perform support functions as necessary such as filing, assist supervisor in new employee training, etc. Strong customer service skills are necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

New York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer.
