This position is a full time, temporary Seasonal job starting October l, 2019, ending July 3 1, 2020.

20 POSITIONS.

This ad is being placed in connection with an H-2B Labor Certification.PLANTING SEEDLING TREES IN AREAS THAT ARE DESIGNATED AS COMMERCIAL TIMBER ZONES. AS REQUIRED, THE GROUND IS PREPARED PRIOR TO THE PLANTING BY CLEARING AN AREA OF BRUSH WITH THE USE OF THE PLANTING SHOVEL, A HOLE IS THEN DUG, AND THEN THE SEEDLING TREE IS PLANTED INTO THE HOLE. ONCE THE SEEDLING IS IN THE HOLE, THE WORKER USES THE SHOVEL TO FILL THE HOLE UP WITH THE DIRT AND ENSURES THE SEEDLING IS SECURE IN BEING PLANTED BY TAMPING THE SOIL ABOUT THE NEWLY PLANTED TREE. MEASURES ARE TAKEN TO PROTECT THE SEEDLING BY SPRAYING AND/OR PLACING NETTING/TUBING AROUND THE BASE OF THE SEEDLING. THIS WILL PROTECT THE SEEDLING FROM DISEASE AND BEING EATEN BY WILDLIFE. THE WORKER MUST BE ABLE TO CARRY THE SEEDLING TREES IN A PLANTING BAG WHICH WHEN FILLED WITH SEEDLINGS CAN WEIGHT UP TO 50 POUNDS.THE WORK IS DONE IN STEEP TERRAIN THE REMOTE AREAS OF NORTHWESTERN WASHINGTON AND A FEW LOCATIONS IN EASTERN WASHINGTON. ACCESS TO THESE REMOTE AREAS IS DONE BY TRAVELING ON UNIMPROVED ROADS THAT ARE ABANDONED LOGGING ROADS. THE SLOPE OF THE PLANTING AREAS RANGE FROM 40% - 60% IN STEEPNESS. THINNING WILL BE CONDUCTED WITH THE USE OF A CHAINSAW. THE EMPLOYEE IS EXPECTED TO CARRY THE CHAINSAW, FUEL, AND OIL UP AND DOWN STEEP TERRAIN, 40%-60% IN SLOPE, CUTTING UNDESIRABLE AND DECEASED TREES, CLEARING BRUSH AND TO DO SO IN A SAFE MANNER· THE WEIGHT OF THE CHAINSAW, FUEL, AND OIL IS ABOUT 30 POUNDS. ALL MATERIAL CUT IS THEN PILED IN A PRESCRIBED MANNER FOR FUTURE DISPOSAL. A SMALL AMOUNT OF SPRAYING WILL BE CONDUCTED IN SELECTED AREAS PRIOR TO THE THINNING EFFORT.3 months experience required performing Commercial Tree Planting and/or Pre-Commercial Tree Thinning. No education required· Work will be conducted in the following counties of Washington State: Lewis, Skagit, King, Mason, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lincoln, Chelan, Clallam, Jefferson, Wahkiakum, Snohomish, Clark, Pierce, Yakima, Klickitat, Stevens, Skamania, Okanogan, Colombia, Pacific, Kittitis,Thurston, Kitsap, Whatcom, Grant, Garfield, Walla Walla, Astoin, Ferry, Pend Oreille, Spokane, San Juan and Island. The majority of the work will require departure from Chehalis. When Work is conducted outside of the general commuting area and when hotel accommodations are required, the cost of the hotel rooms are provided by the company and at no cost to the empIoyee.40 Hours a week, M,T,W,TH, F 7A - 3:30P

Wage Range is $12.00 to $16.48 depending in which county the work is performed· No overtime is scheduled. The company guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least 3/4 of the workdays in each 12-Week period of the total employment period.MUST BE ABLE TO PLANT IN AN 8 HOUR DAY THE FOLLOWING NUMBER OF TREES: BY END OF THE IST WEEK- 800, BY END OF THE 2ND WEEK - 900, BY END OF THE 3RD WEEK - 1000 TREES ON 40% - 60% IN SLOPE.EMPLOYEES ARE EXPECTED TO MAINTAIN THE SAW, SHARPEN THE CHAIN IN THE FIELD, MAINTAIN THE CORRECT FLUID LEVELS, AND PROPERLY BREAK THE SAW DOWN FOR CLEANING. THE COMBINED WEIGHT OF THE SAW, FUEL, AND OIL IS APPROXIMATELY 30 POUNDS AND MUST BE CARRIED UP AND DOWN DIFFICULT TERRAIN RANGING FROM 40%. 60% IN SLOPE. THE EMPLOYEE MUST DEMONSTRATE THAT HE CAN WORK IN A SAFE AND EFFECTIVE MANNER. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK IN EACH OF THE COUNTIES NAMED AND COMPLETE THE ENTIRE SEASON.Training provided as needed.The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers are paid every two (2) weeks· The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law. If relocation is required by a worker who is hired, Who does not reside in the area of employment, Whether in the U.S. or abroad, travel expenses and subsistence wi1llbe paid to each worker based on what is specified under 655· 173 transportation (including meals, at least $12.46 per day not to exceed $55.00 a day and, to the extent necessary, lodging, not to exceed $100.00 a night, receipts required), from their current abode to the place of employment, Lewis County, WA, if the worker Completes 50% of the employment period covered by the job order, Which is consistent with 20CFR655·200)(1)(i)· Payment of said expenses and subsistence will be paid within 3 days after the Completion of the 50% of the contract period by check, Paid to the worker. The employer will assist in helping locate optional housing in the general commuting area of Lewis county which is paid by the employee. Return transportation and daily subsistence to the area from which the worker left from in order to take this job will be provided if the worker completes the empIoyment period or is dismissed from employment for any reason by the employer before the end of the period.Training provided for Planting and Thinning if needed. Transportation provided at no cost to the empIoyee from designated pick up points to each job site and in between the job sites. The majority of the work will be conducted within driving distance from Lewis County. The empIoyer will provide workers at no charge all tooIs, Supplies and equipment required to perform the job. If the prevailing wage is increased by the U,S.
