Minimum Qualifications:

Ten years business experience required: Candidate may substitute a four year business degree in lieu of five years work experience.  Applicant must have strong internal & external customer focus and communication skills.   Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work under stress, to work with limited supervision, have a high degree of accuracy, have general accounting knowledge, be proficient analyzing issues/problems, able to resolve matters, perform account sales/retention by using product and industry knowledge, expand account relationships by listening/exploring.  Display proficient use of various office equipment and software, including Excel and Word software. Position is a Sales Support: profiling, prospecting, overcoming objections, and negotiations to book accounts, expand revenue and service of customers.

Essential Function:

Function with minimal guidance. Position is responsible for compiling end-of-month accounting and other reports; for maintaining compliance with federal regulations and bank policies; for collecting trustee fees; for facilitating asset transfers of new and closed accounts; for processing contributions to and distributions from trust accounts, and for processing accounting transactions utilizing the Trust Accounting System and supporting ledgers and journals. Transactions may include disbursements from trust accounts, payments for goods and services from original invoices or other supporting documentation, outgoing wire requests, liability note payments. Other duties include setting up new note and lease files, processing note and lease payments, computing and preparing weekly payroll for trust account's contract labor, coordinating daily production of computer generated reports, calculating and processing the department's cash management activity, reconciling account balances, and other accounting duties as required. Resolve ARU and manage overdrafts, and knowledge of taxation issues & reporting. Perform secretarial and administrative duties for trust officer. Type, file, answer multi-lined phones, greet and assist customers and prospective customers, and such other diverse activities that may be required of a small trust location. Consequence of error:  loss of income, loss of customer confidence and account, criticism by internal/external auditors and bank examiners, and possible litigation. Actively participates in the sales and service culture, supports the values of organization and follows established bank policies and procedures.
