Position Summary/Essential Duties:

Intern will receive training on a variety of programs, processes, policies and related technology at University Hospitals. Intern will rotate through different functional areas, and primarily perform administrative duties to support Pulmonary department operations. This is a PRN role scheduled for 16 - 24 hours a week. Supports Pulmonary team members with the implementation of various initiatives and projects at the corporate level. Other duties as assigned. This role may encounter Protected Health Information PHI as part of regular responsibilities.  UH employees must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Education.  

High School Equivalent / GED Senior level student pursuing a Bachelors degree required, recent Bachelors graduate preferred. Previous experience in a related setting preferred.

 

Experience & Knowledge:

Must be detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability. Notable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills required. Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment required. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
