Secretary Office of The City Clerk

The City of New Kensington is seeking an individual for the position of Secretary to the City Clerk. This is a full time administrative position demanding exceptional organizational skills, assisting the City Clerk in maintaining the daily operation of the City. The Secretary works directly with the City Clerk and is responsible for coordinating the activities of the City Clerks Office. Some but not all duties include, drafting letters, submitting reports, applying for grants, liaison with PA State Departments, answering phones, scheduling meetings, administer Civil Service Testing, and maintain bid solicitations. Individual must pass all background checks. Position includes benefits after probationary period. Candidates must reside within eight (8) air miles of City Hall.
