Morningside University is accepting applications for the full-time, grant-funded position of Program Coordinator in the Sharon Walker School of Education to support the implementation & operation of Project Connect. Project Connect provides teacher licensure & ESL endorsement pathways & professional development activities intended to improve instruction for English Learners (ELs).

Responsibilities: Recommend to the Dean, adjunct faculty for teaching assignments. Conduct the evaluation process for all new adjunct faculty; conduct evaluation of returning adjunct faculty as assigned. Collaborate with the Academic Coordinator & subject matter experts to maintain compliance of endorsement program standards. Coordinate the Project Connect student admission process. Participate in the interviewing &/or selection of teacher candidates. Establish & maintain effective working relationships with all administrative staff. Provide regular communications with Academic Coordinators & program faculty as necessary. Coordinate with academic coordinator & unit director of field placements to assist with summer ESL practicum as needed. Coordinate course offerings & registrations related to professional development courses. Collaborate with appropriate staff & faculty on developing &delivering orientation, training, & development activities for adjunct faculty in assigned program areas. Track program assessment data & prepare reports.

Qualifications: Minimum of a master’s degree in Education or closely related field; Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred. State teacher licensure in a teaching field K-12 teaching experience
