The Behavioral Health Outreach Program consists of teams that respond to behavioral health crises that occur in assigned patrol areas within King County. The teams provide assistance and/or intervention to persons who are experiencing crisis, homelessness, and/or behavioral health issues. Interventions include community engagement, outreach, de-escalation, screening by visual inspection and brief conversation to determine the need for services, and referrals for service.
There are three teams within this program:
City Hall Park Neighborhood Outreach: City Hall Park/King County Courthouse and the surrounding area
Transit Station Outreach: Downtown light rail stations
Transit Center Outreach: Burien Transit Center and Aurora Village Transit Center

WORK SCHEDULE/CONDITIONS:
These are Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) positions anticipated to end December 31, 2023 but subject to change dependent on operational need. Positions are full-time and .80 full-time, (32 to 40 hours per week).
Recruiting is for vacant shifts within the listed hours.
City Hall Park Neighborhood Outreach: 3 shifts: 12am-8am, 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am, 7 days a week
Transit Center Outreach: 1 shift at two locations 6pm to 2am, 7 days a week
Transit Station Outreach: 2 shifts: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, Monday - Friday
