Salary:$38,000 , Plus Excellent Benefits
The Financial Aid Advisor reports to the Director of Financial Aid. Responsible for providing information, advice and assistance regarding various types of Federal and State financial aid available to students. Will be responsible for the administration of all financial and veterans’ programs. Knowledge of financial aid processing for federal, state and local programs. Knowledge of working with Veterans Programs (Various Chapter Programs & Hazelwood) Knowledge of Banner software a plus. Knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred. Bilingual a plus. Award all scholarships to students weekly and email persons responsible for submitting scholarship spreadsheets. Determines eligibility and select students for State Grant programs for Director’s approval. Set up BANNER Night Scheduling process for Dataload and review procedure to insure process ran correctly.
Position is security sensitive and subject to Texas education Code 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
