Salem University is currently looking for new team members to join us as Admissions Advisors to work on our Online Education team. The Admissions Advisor position is responsible for recruiting and advising prospective students as they begin their journey in our University’s adult undergraduate and graduate online programs.  The advisor will build a relationship with students and guide them through a comprehensive college enrollment process.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Be a part of our people oriented culture and build trust and camaraderie with teammates daily.

· C    Communicate with potential online students via phone. Advisors will receive inbound calls and make a      significant amount of outbound calls daily.

  • Advise students while building trust and rapport.
  • Assist and guide online students to help determine if a program is the right fit.
  • Track and monitor student movement through the online application process and guide them to meet specific deadlines.
  • Maintain weekly communication with potential students to keep them engaged and aware of their responsibilities during the application process.
  • Guide accepted student through transfer process to enrollment advisor.

 

Requirements:

· A passion for online education and desire to help students achieve their educational goals

· The ability to achieve goals

· Proven communication and organizational skills

· Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively with multiple priorities
