Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA seeks Senior Software Engineer to work within the Language Technologies Institute (LTI) on areas of computer science related to text analytics, national language understanding, machine translation, speech recognition & production, multimedia analysis, & intelligent assistants with faculty, Ph.D. & M.S. students, & full-time tech. staff & visiting scholars.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field

3 years of experience in natural language technology and machine learning, specifically natural language processing and speech recognition. 

In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience Carnegie Mellon will accept a Master’s degree and 1 year of experience in natural language technology and machine learning, specifically natural language processing and speech recognition. 

Experience must include 1 year of experience completing researching using Python and Java; and working with Deep Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning.
