Wood. Heavy Civil Construction (Swaggart Brothers) an industry leader in heavy civil construction located in Hermiston, Oregon is currently seeking experienced heavy equipment operators in the Hermiston area. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for working with power construction equipment such as graders, excavators, and dozers to move materials, earth and heavy objects.

Skills:

Must be able to operate the following equipment in a safe and productive manner: 

• CAT D5 
• D6 
• CAT 623F / 623B Scraper 
• CAT 336 series Excavator 
• Komatsu 210 Excavator 
• CAT Skidsteer 
• CAT Telehander 
• CAT 14M Road grader 
• JD 410 Backhoe joystick controls
• Have the knowledge and skills of equipment functions, including start up and shut down of equipment, and a minimum 1 year experience with Trimble GPS.
• Demonstrate skill in the identification of key hazards and use of strategies to work safely, to include; stability of soils, edges, excavations, stability of machine, and awareness of position, clearance, safe movement, other machinery, vehicles, and workers.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment operations.
