The Implementation Specialist: Define, manage, and properly coordinate the structuring and execution of FOLIO migrations projects depending on the client’s needs. the specialist will provide a wide range of FOLIO implementation services, ranging from project management, system configuration/testing, workflow analysis, systems architecture support, data analysis, custom programming acting on the client’s behalf in the FOLIO community.

 

Services:

  • Create scripts for FOLIO based on client needs / PostgreSQL query on.
  • Collaborate with the data migration team to improve the data migration tool from Legacy systems to FOLIO, create on JAVA and Python.
  • Be involved in the FOLIO community.
  • Create project plans, conduct information customer gathering, system configuration/testing, provide
  • Management API & data, light training, and support.
  • Troubleshooting FOLIO issues.
  • Communicate project status, functional and technical solutions, and strategies to project stakeholders.
  • Establish strong relationships with library customer project leads. Champion in-scope project blockers and proactively collaboratively seek solutions.
  • Communicate as needed with other EBSCO account stakeholders (i.e., PMI, LSE, Sales and Support) where the university may be a customer of multiple EBSCO product-lines).
  • Collaborate with Product Management to package new and refined innovative approaches to professional services.
  • Presentations to groups (e.g., 5-25).
  • Create well-defined emails, and web conferences.
  • Ability to travel. The applicant should live close to an international airport. Up to 10% travel.

 

 

 Required Qualifications:

 

  • College/university degree. (System librarian - Computational Science)
  • Ability to attend on-site/online meetings during LATAM business hours and USA hours (eastern - pacific) 
  • English proficiency, *Spanish (only for South America not Brazil), *Portuguese (only for Brazilians).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or drive a project with sound technical and design skills
  • An advocate for unit testing, automation, and test-driven development.
  • Knowledge in JavaScript, Node.js, Python, SOAP, API REST, SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Linux.
  • Run script based on Python, JavaScript.
  • Ability to travel. The applicant should live close to an international airport. Up to 10% travel.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • AWS, kubernetes, Docker, Kibana, OAI-PMH, Gitlab, Jenkins, Node.js, react, Open API, JSON, XML
  • Experience working as a developer, systems librarian or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Knowledge in FOLIO API.
  • Experience config SIP2, OAI-PMH, Z39.50 and library communications protocols.
  • Electronic resource management
  • Working with data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or similar software
  • Basic programming and scripting
  • Understanding of Linked data concepts and applications
