The Heart Institute at the University of Washington Medical Center has an exceptional opportunity for a full time Registered Nurse for the outpatient Structural Heart RN position. The UW Medicine Heart Institute nurses work day shift Monday through Friday, no weekends and no holiday shifts allowing for work life balance in the beautiful northwest community.
If you are a highly organized, creative, and dynamic nurse who can help deliver highly interactive care and education to patients and be a good advocate for our patients and their families, this is the position for you. We require an RN with exemplary communication and teaching skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
The RN will collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team consisting of cardiologists, surgeons, interventionalists, other sub-specialty nurses, advanced practice providers, research team, and administrative staff to coordinate, support, and optimize the medical care of our complex patient population.

There are weekly team meetings, case conferences, cardiac grand rounds, journal clubs and other educational opportunities that the RN can attend to grow professionally.  As a teaching hospital and research center, we're deeply committed to the enhancement of care for our patients-as well as the professional growth of our staff. As a testament to this commitment, we're proud to be recognized with Magnet Hospital status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In fact, we were the first hospital to receive this designation. We're also consistently named one of the nation's best hospitals, as reported by U.S. News and World Report.

Such national recognition attests to our commitment to high-quality care, and to the outstanding professionalism and skill that exists at our institution. As a registered nurse (RN), you can be a part of this highly skilled team, working within a culture that is both innovative and collaborative.
