Assistant Assessor

Town of Brattleboro is seeking Assistant Assessor. Will help maintain accuracy of Town's Grand List by appraising new construction and updating value of existing properties. Duties are varied, and include computerized valuation software, physical inspection of real estate, and gathering market information. Position is 30 hours per week, involves frequent interaction with public, provides full benefit package. Salary range $32,000 to $35,000. Applicants expected to have background in real estate valuation from previous experience in assessment, appraisal, sales, development or banking fields.
